Okay... tell me what evil plot is this... the one that makes the smoke alarm-at 2.45 *am*, no less!-chirp like a lovelorn cricket to inform me that it needs its battery replaced, yet cleans us out of all nine volt batteries???! Your choice! lol I believe the 'trend' is that a partial sentence or thought is sufficient to complete chapter. Drives me batty. While I am a speed reader, these silly excuses for chapters have become quite annoying because I can't turn the pages fast enough to keep up with the story. lol
Just make your chapters the length that feels right to you - your editor will then bully you into revising them to suit the current trend in the "Style Book". lol
Girl, you're stressing about the process too much. Just write. So what if your story ends up in bits and pieces, chapters, sentences, paragraphs, snippets, epistles, words ..... Just get it all out of your head and down on paper. Then you can work on the format. Rewrite Revise. Rewrite. Reorganize. Rewrite. etc.....
