I think the only thing that worries me is that this live journal community & the DreamWidth mirror will start to be ignored and the old bewares that made people treat artists with caution (even those marked as resolved) will not get that warning as easily and thus people start to get tricked by those artists again, if their bewares aren't transitioned over.

Which brings me onto a question; how far back are the transitions going?

We are archiving every valid beware, and there is a separate section for archives on the site. :) Tags from the archives will still appear in thr search results.

Well that was going to occur when we moved regardless in a sense. And Google picks up quite a few of these LiveJournal posts so in a way they're not going to die unless those who have bewares trump the rankings system for Google.

We're going back as far as we need to that follows the current template or is a big time beware. The further back you go the more we saw really wacky posts that older staff (me included we perfected our submissions guidelines, still are really) accepted and they don't have a place in the new site.

The closer to 2018 we get the more posts from LJ will be ported over as these are better written, etc.

Thank you, for the response.

Would it help if I offered to resubmit the beware I posted here: https://artists-beware.livejournal.com/968610.html
onto the site myself or would it be best to leave that to the staff, to determine if you'd like to keep it or not?

I only ask, because I plan to delete my Live Journal account once you guys have finished with the move and I'm unsure what that might do to the Beware I'd submitted.

Just popping in and trying to remember my livejournal account in because, that artwork is ADORABLE. What a lovely way to do a send off for here.

AB is literally the last active feed on my Livejournal, this happening feels like the end of an era.

See you on the new site :)
