Awww honey so sorry to hear of all the problems?

Why did you not brest feed, if you don't mind me asking? You can still relactate and I'd be more than happy to help you. It would help with the vomiting and would help with more peaceful sleep. And that cereal thing scares me. babies her age can't digest it. Research it, scary stuff......

God bless to you and her!!!

I thought that too, but I researched it and it said its a common home remedy of reflux prescribed by doctors!! You just have to use the baby rice cereal and only use a tsp. I have no idea.

I tried BFing and she still spit up tons. They tohught maybe she needed something that had no lactose in it, so they switched her to a lactose free formula.

I'm a bit late here (I'm in London so I haven't had time to pop in as much but I've been reading for months...I'm such a lurker!) -- they're lying to you. All you need(ed) to do was cut dairy out of your diet.

As for the rice cereal -- why didn't they just suggest an AR formula (added rice). Much safer.

She's too precious with all that hair!!! I hope the cereal or new formula helps her with the reflux, it just might take a minute for it to help.

They switched her from Similac's Isomil to Similac's Alimentum. It's supposed to be easier to digest. :/ I'm hoping!!

I'm not sure if it does. She threw up a lot tonight with it, but the pediatrician said you can't really get a real view of how it works until tomorrow. Apparently, it could be the mixture of the new formula, and the old formula that just combines and causes a bad reaction like vomiting. I'm ust praying that tomorrow all is good. If not, we'll have to take her back to the hospital & I don't want her readmitted to the NICU. I don't think I could take it.
