so i'm kind of glad that we don't know how the five met, because it means we get lots of awesome different versions of that story in fanfic (heck, one of these days i may even try my hand at an 'origins' story). i can't wait to see where yours goes.
Oh, Gregory. As if there's a man out there that you would deem suitable for Helen. I really like this overview of the family and the dynamic running though it, and Gregory's constant (and kind of proud) comparison of Helen to a hypothetical son.
(I think he should send Helen to Sydney! When are we? 1870? It's getting very civilised by then. There are royal visits. There's a university.)
