My sister has the best logic: Guys can go topless in public because they don't have sticky-outy-things "up there". Therefore, girls should be able to go without pants/skirt, because they don't have sticky-outy-things "down there".

I always used to lament the fact that my brother was socially unable and that I couldn't actually -talk- to him (I still can't, not on the same level as other people)...and yet, we've found ways to connect in different ways. It's always a wonderful feeling, having little affections and inside jokes among the lovehate.
I think that this is mostly true for any relatives, though. As you said, are valuable as well, as correspondants, inspirations...
I usually escape the sadness of the closeness I'll probably never have with my brother by considering my cousins, at least 3 of whom I really connect to. It's not the same thing, but somehow relation-closeness is different from friend closeness, like, they're different things, and both are important. It's wonderful that you get this from your sister, she sounds completely amazing. :)

Family is so wonderful, when you bother to appreciate it. Sometimes I wish that I had relatives outside my nuclear family who actually played some role in my life, but I'm lucky enough to have an amazing nuclear family, so I probably shouldn't complain.
It's nice that you're finding ways to connect with your brother. And that you have cousins you can connect to where he can't. :)

It must be wonderful to have siblings. And I totally agree with her funny logic!
