I'm not doing as well as I thought I'd be doing today.  Not only was I overly irritated this morning by a fairly loud telephone conversation, but I'm not handling the random "from every direction" tasks as well as I feel I should.  Historically I have had difficulty doing so but, since beginning the "before-bed" regimen of my medicine, it's been ( Read more... )

Yeah I've been having days like that too. Where you could do everything in your immediate line of sight and just as you start to focus on something three more things show up.

The good thing is it usually only lasts for the day, so hopefully once you ride this out it will be fine.

I really hope so! I thought I was done with the "I can't handle any more or I'll pull my hair out and then start on your hair" syndrome. I really did.

*sighs* Looks like sleep is the key player in my stress after all, and I need at least seven hours.

you, as a human, can't possibly know enough about everything that is going on that you are connected to. Life has a way of setting you up for exactly what is needed. If you aren't meant to write, then graciously resign until you are compelled to do so again. Most likely, your next revision requires some experiences to draw from. Perhaps you are meant to be doing something entirely different instead, for sake of those experiences. Maybe it's as simple as {less revision : more new work} you won't know until you do.
When you realize that things aren't going your way, you also realize that you have something to do with how things are going. That is the point in time when you should say "ok, lets do it your way this time, direct me (insert divine entity here)"
When life challenges us in this way you are describing, the desirable response to give is one of humility and gratitude.
Think on this deeply and you will find it to be true.
You will also completely change your mood, attitude, and outlook on things.
