Question: because it's nowhere to be found.

Artists need rough drafts in by October 6th - when are you proposing that final drafts for artists be needed? And when are we going to be posting the final products?

My schedule is already filling up like crazy, so I need to know a rough ballpark date if possible so I can schedule the time to post this thing in. :)

Hello!

Artist drafts are due October 6, yes, but the final products will be posted on your (you and your author's) posting date.

Once all the drafts are submitted, the mods will work with authors and artist both to figure out posting dates that work for everyone. Posting dates are the final deadline for authors and artists.

Up until that time, any changes could conceivably be made, so we leave it up to the artist's discretion exactly when they want to be "finished".

tl;dr As long as your draft is submitted on time, you have until your posting date to finish your art.

Make sure you're keeping your author informed, though!

I'm the author, haha - was just looking for a ballpark figure as to when you expected posting dates to be.

(Sorry! >< I'm going to blame that on the first week of school.)

General ballpark will probably be late October to early November, depending on a few factors. The first, since it's starting time for a lot of schools, is how complete the art drafts are. I know for a fact that at least one author hasn't sent fic along to the corresponding artist (!), so to start posting in the next week would be unbearably cruel to that artist. Another factor is the start of S2 and the predictable surge in interest in Show that might compete with a BB's more... theoretical approach to canon.

And last, and rather awkwardly- Neither mod has really run their own BB before! :D We're still discovering the best way to do things.

tl;dr- We're unsure, but thinking staggered posting between Oct 21 and Nov 15. Individual dates will be dependant on when you and your artist agree upon.
