Well said! Me and one of my friends have been debating snape/malfoy/loyalty/love/conflict/emotion issues constantly since reading. I've been trying to say exactly that, only I don't sound that good saying it. I'll have to pass on a link.
It's very well written and you hit some great points. Lauren x
What do you think Dumbledore saw when he drank the poison? I'm not sure what I think yet, there are several possiblities that sound good.
When I was reading your scenario for the final ending, it seemed very consistent with the idea that Dumbledore is forseeing that scene. Which I guess would make the potion some sort of "liquid boggart." Maybe. My ideas on this issue still haven't had time to congeal.
Do you think Dumbledore already knew that Harry was the seventh Horcrux, but couldn't endanger the remainder of his mission by telling him? I do, because Harry never learned Occlumency. Voldemort can't be allowed to get that knowledge, just as Harry must witness and believe that Snape is the ultimate number one Voldemort minion for the same reason.
I am sure Albus knew, but he didn't want to tell Harry just yet. After all, the writing is o the wall. Harry bears Voldemort's Scar (the Mark of the Beast), he speaks Parseltongue, they have the same wands, their minds are connected. I don't think there is any way around it.
I think that Dumbledore was reliving the torture that those children went throught when a young Tom first visited there. Although Dumbledore seeing what Harry might endure could be possible, to me, it doesn't make sense that the poiton, which had to be drunken the first time so that Sirus's brother might remove the Horcrux and replace it with another one, would be designed to make Dumbledore see that

This all was a lot to think about. I never thought of thmost of this in this way. The begining of your analysis is in agreement to the notes that I made in my slash notebook. (BTW, we must REALLY do something about tha Tnoks/Remus thing

I'd have to disagree about a Weasley being a Horcrux. The Weasley family continues to be attacked over, and over, and over, and yet no one dies. Then, for one of them to suddenly die in the last book? That doesn't seem to fit.
I also notice that you didn't touch on the Horcrux that Dumbledore had in his pocket after his death. I believe I know who it is and even more so, where it is. (If you want to know, ask me. I'll tell it!!)
Please! Do! I've got a theory but I don't want to try to explain it... it never comes out right
A well-thought piece. I agree wholeheartedly with your theories...
Unfortunately, I believe that Harry will die - to a large degree there's really no other way around it - he will give the ultimate sacrifice to save the wizarding/Muggle worlds. Rowling says that after book 7 it's all over; how else is she going to wrap things up in a tidy parcel besides killing off the hero? I really doubt she'd have Harry triumph and ride off into the sunset with his best girl at his side... that stuff only happens in cheesy Westerns. ;D
