I lost any potential interest in the book when I saw Judd Winick's name on it.

Well, he's only co-writing with Keith Giffen, which may make up for Winick. It was a good issue, it just made me sad and make me angry that DC keeps cock-teasing me with Ted's death.

However, this is only the first issue. We'll see what's to come. I did like that they established that Max wasn't always evil, and that he was sad that he "had" to kill Ted, and didn't want to hurt Booster. Stuff like that is a huge step forward from :SUDDENLY MAX WILL KILL ALL THE SUPERS BECAUSE HE IS EVUL!!11/one
Next issue may screw up everything, though.
