In my world, at least, the bride usually has a handful of women to attend to her on the wedding day, and stand with her during the ceremony. They usually are her sisters or close friends, but I have no sisters or very close female friends here, which is where you come in. And I understand how non-traditional I am with asking a man to fill in, but...

[Her voice lowers slightly.]

It's good for him. And Hayate can teach him what I really want, so it's very beneficial.

They aren't, no. They just have the urges to be boys and let off steam, which is fine.

[She considers throwing the plate pieces away, but...duh, she lives with an alchemist. It would be a waste to get rid of the pieces they could possibly need in the future. Riza dumps them on the counter and makes a mental note to bug Roy about it later.]

Having Hayate around had been a nice surprise, and it had only been a matter of time before he and Dakota started playing rough and tumble.

It was just a shame they had the break something that he'd misplaced.

It's later, after the mess is cleared up that he shuffles into the kitchen, Hayate at his heels - curious about what he's doing. He's trying to do this without Riza noticing.

"Ah. Hayate... Go."
