A and I are moving in together next weekend. The house is in Ferndale. I'm cautiously totally excited.

last night, on my way to gallery opening number 1 of 5 with A, I realized my outfit was comprised of a weird variety of influences.

1) shoes - nautical (top siders)
2) pants - coal miner (jeans)
3) shirt #1- tennis (izod)
4) shirt #2 - military (warm weather field shirt-based)
5) watch - surfing (nixon)

somehow it kind of worked.

about 7 out of 10 young/new bands I interview say their goal is "world domination." they almost always use those exact words. they say it to sound sort of funny, but they mostly mean it. I fucking hate that ( Read more... )

A had never used a sparkler before and since it was raining, we didn't go to the Clawson fireworks. Instead, we stood on my front porch and lit sparklers and sang the national anthem in the rain.

I hate proprietary cables. The whole point of having a standard (USB, Firewire, etc.) is increased compatibility and ease of use. Why not carry that philosophy into the hardware? Oh, I know - more money. Boo!
