l have to have a look at the original repor on the Visby finds for the coat of plates, I just have to find the exact title.
Some years ago a reprint of the book in question came out. It's nothing like the original book (in 2 volumes) in feel and quality, but the content is the same.
I'm sure you can find an original copy in the right library where you live, but don't count on being able to take it home. If you're ever in my neighbourhood down south, you're more than welcome to browse my bookshelf and the copy of Thordeman I have.
The "classical" Visby epauliers are simple triangular plates, slightly dished, very small for SCA standards.
