Frida and Me

The Frida Kahlo exhibit in Philly was wonderful.  It was really incredible to see so much of her original work all in one place.

Incidentally, since then, I got an email from a cousin who, after perusing my art blog, said my work reminded her of Frida Kahlo's work.

I really knew very little about Frida Kahlo until I was in college taking art

Glad you enjoyed the show. I did as well. Although, since you pointed out how the exhibit did not mention her being bisexual at all, I've been a little irked. Maybe I should write a letter. Or complain silently to myself.

Hmmm. . . don't know if complaining silently will accomplish much. :) Hopefully, we'll have many fun excuses to get together in the future. Oh, and by the way, I really enjoyed doing the workshop for your students. They were a lot of fun and much easier to lead than I had anticipated.
