I think that was the best finale for a long time. I loved season 1 and 2 finales, but this one was of a much higher standard again, and truly made up for last season.
I actually didn't enjoy this episode as much as the other last episodes. The plot itself... Well, I think there was a bit much of all the "Oh, let's save the world by simply pressing this button here and foil the evil and briliant Dalek plan with this simple little action." There wasn't enough drama for me. The bits were missing where we see how terrible the world really becomes, like in Turn Left, which I stick by as best episode this season. As for the two doctors idea... It was ok, but then with the new-doctor going off with Rose and real doctor going off again... Crap. I really didn't like that, though I still got teary when they kissed. As for Donna: I completely agree with you on this point. She was the best, though I started out disliking her. The last scene was the saddest ever, perhaps only comparable to the parting in doomsday and at Bad Wolf Bay. That was the highlight of the episode for me.
Of course, seeing them all flying the Tardis together was awesome!
Over all I really loved the episode, but you're right about the New/fake Doctor - I really hated that whole thing, and the more I think about it, the more I hate it. It was just weird, and not at all right.
I've just been trying to find the site again where I read it, but can't. I think it must have been either on wiki or another site where it has now been edited off. Weird, as I know I read it. I figure it was just someone writing their speculation as fact.
Would be cool though. I really don't want to have to get used to another new companion all over again, lol. It's nice to have at least one long running companion so that they don't keep redoing the whole "everything's so alien" introductions to the character. Plus it would be really interesting to see Mickey and Ten together after the whole Rose thing. Especially as (and I'm not sure whether there was any deeper meaning to this), Mickey and Rose did not talk to each other in the finale... interesting :)
