A postscript to yesterday's post:  as anticipated, Oxford's Corpus Christi team trounced the University of Manchester in the University Challenge final.  Captained by the redoubtable Gail Trimble, Corpus Christi started slowly, but came storming through to a famous victory.

Something tells me that Gail Trimble has never been to the slums of Mumbai. But that hasn’t stopped her becoming a small screen quiz queen.

Lighter moments are few and far between on the BBC's hospital drama, Casualty.  But there was one on Saturday.

A female doctor was complaining that there wasn't enough me-time in her life.  Unwisely, a male doctor piped up: "What do women do during me-time?"

Her response: "You don't want to know, Toby. It involves wax."
