Bear had Thurs and Fri night off and had to go back to work tonight.  *pouts*  His schedule for "next week" has him working Sun, off Mon-Wed, then working Thur-Sat.  On one hand it sucks that he'll be working the weekends, but on the other, at least we won't have to do the hi-bye thing too much.  They cut back his hours post holiday but maybe he'll ( Read more... )

Yes, we have given our children two remote controls so they both have one. It makes it easier to get the real one back if we accidently leave it out.

We have the two - one for the TV, one for the DVD player. She'll grab for one if I have the other, so I can handle some noisy toys if they keep her preoccupied...

Nate likes to chew on our remote.

He also "reads" his books. It's too cute to see him turning pages and babbling.

Yep, we will stock up on books she can play with (she has "real" books that the boys read to her and we get stuff from the library for her each trip) because she is facinated with books.

I saw a neat set at Barnes & Noble that lets you put baby's picture in the slot in the book where it says "Baby" in the story is doing something... too cute.

Yeah, I did mean to leave the ambrosia. Both the boys seemed to like it and I had another whole bowl at home. :-)

yeah it's amazing how they go for the cell phone and remote control automatically...X. has called several people already using my cell phone even though we bought him a play one (it even has a "picture" of animals on it like a real one would have a wallpaper image)...but i guess when 2 and 3 year olds are using computers it shouldnt be surprising

Yikes... hadn't thought of her going for the cell phone. Better keep it hidden, especially since it makes a lot more interesting noises than the remote could ever do. ;-)

I like the "real life" toys like mini remotes, phones, etc. It's the wierd stuff that only exists to make a horrific amount of sound such that bugs me.

I want to hunt for a "tea set" of some type for her for Xmas. She played tea party with her 5 year old cousin the other weekend, with one of the boys helping her sit in a chair while she handled the cup quite well (other than being puzzled that there was no drink in it.)

Oh, and just shoot me an email or something when the boys've finished off the last of it and I'll swing by after work to pick up the bowl. :)
