Survived first work-bloc week intact, despite working one day each in toddlers, preschool and babies. Pls not to be repeating, universe; Do Not Want. Knackered, but good news is that Thursday = Day with Dad = went well; we spent it more or less socially for the first time in a long while. The man is slowly but surely coming back to himself.

I still haven't got around to Ashes To Ashes.

It's well worth a look, imho; less geekily-fun than Life on Mars from a cult-telly perspective* but the chemistry's just as good (which I hadn't expected).

* (or maybe that's just me - the Eighties pop culture they poke at is still far too fresh in the mind/too awkwardly and embarrassingly Part Of My Active Past to have the class/savour of the Seventies, which retains a certain vagueness, enabling quasi-mythological coolth...)

I think the series is strong enough to survive it :) worth watching just for Glenister, any road.
