Is a weekend.
Survived first work-bloc week intact, despite working one day each in toddlers, preschool and babies. Pls not to be repeating, universe; Do Not Want. Knackered, but good news is that Thursday = Day with Dad = went well; we spent it more or less socially for the first time in a long while. The man is slowly but surely coming back to himself. Otherwise:
1. Two linocuts! still in early/primitive stages but they're under way. No decent goopy ink around, so I've only been able to proof with water-soluble crayons,
...but they look reasonable. Specially for a given value of "haven't done this in 25 years". Lots more to do on both plates - still very basic at the moment, but it's not a bad start.
2. Nearly halfway through the 100 books challenge. Harder than I thought to make it through two a week.
3. Cooked baingan patiala, and very nice it was too.
4. Finally finished watching Ashes to Ashes s3; touching, unexpected (not that I'd thought a lot about where it was going, philosophically, to be honest), and I really really like the whole Gene-as-Charon thing. Thoroughly enjoyable.
5. Finally got around to (and am enjoying immensely) Wilfred. Beautifully nasty, and yay Kim Gyngell cameo. Will be interesting to see what the American version is like...
6. Meant to walk yesterday, and today; didn't get round to it. Oh well, see above. OTOH managed not to eat cheese 2 days in a row. This is much harder than it sounds.
7. Judge Dredd audios ftw. Now all on mp3 player; will make bussing it about Canberra much more enjoyable.
8. Have found DL of Return to Eden. May require icons. You have been warned.
