ETA2: Just found out about the film version of Where the Wild Things Are. Initial inner-child glee killed thoroughly DED by the trailer, which indicates the actual book is just a jumping-off point for something sickeningly, horridly heartwarming.
Augh. It might not be bad in and of itself (sometimes trailers are very off) but it makes me want to go read the book over about ten billion times to try to erase those images. I wish they hadn't. Or, as with the new Sherlock Holmes movie, that they'd called it something else.
