Yes, well.

Planet Terror: I am possibly Not A Good Sister, 'cos most of what made me laugh was about as unPC as you can get, but hey. Mind you I spent a good half of the film determinedly not looking at the gore/goo/splatter :) even the funny bits. (Perhaps especially the funny bits). I'm not good with biogoo.

Very, very Joe R. Lansdale, though :) we're both still chuckling unexpectedly at bits of it.

Yay Naveen Andrews; didn't realise he was still acting (hadn't seen him in anything since Buddha of Suburbia) - still gorgeous, if a bit podgier (but hey, it suits him). Loved Josh Brolin and his wacked-out-wifey. And Rodriguez' music is as always a highlight.

On the 'B' side: Death Proof was genuinely suspenseful, and funny, and ick, and disturbing and lots of -ists that made me uncomfortable - or made me feel I should be feeling uncomfortable, which is probably closer to why it disturbs - from time to time, but I enjoyed it hugely. The last half especially; I kept thinking of oh, what is it... Dirty Weekend by Helen Zahavi, with tinges of Baise-Moi? Not the same thing at all, of course, but the exhilaration was very similar.

Huge crush on Zoe Bell now :)

Overall: enjoyable, but I won't be rushing to get the DVD. 8/10. Soundtracks on the other hand - hmmmm. Think they're a must-have.
