And while I've never been able to bring myself to /like/ Cain (she's too inhuman, beyond even the machines, which I suppose is the point), I do like the interaction here, and that even her shade is lying about how much she cares/cared for Gina.

This is made of awesome. I love the association of Cain with the Amazons, which works on so many levels. The vision is really fitting, not only in the idea of the flag over the coffin, but also the whole being wrapped up in the myth of the fleet idea.
The "everyone I cared for is dead" part works on levels too- I appreciate levels. :D And I love that Cain was still fighting (and fucking!) to the end and beyond.

I actually sat down to re-watch Pegasus and Resurrection Ship 1 & 2 to try to get more info for this one...
And yeah, Cain and the Amazons seemed such an easy leap to make. Particularly when you think of both Shaw and Starbuck all but idolizing the woman.
