I can't wait to turn 40! All the best women I have known throughout my life really blossomed at or after 40, so I'm very much looking forward to reaching that age. You, p.s., do not look 40 at all; not that life is a guess-your-age carnival game, but you look very youthful. Must be good living :)

I don't think that the contemplativeness and strange thoughts are necessarily negatively spun re: turning 40. In some ways, they're nothing that I haven't thought about before. And I was actually kind of looking forward to 40. There was a time when I never thought I'd live this long, so it's a good thing.

And thank you! I do what I can to keep a good attitude. My inner child definitely helps with that.
