Plus: - If you go to any club or dungeon or even disco, and ask for volunteers to polish your boots while you wear them, you'll be run down by a foaming-at-the-mouth mob. - You can wear those with your elf chick costume - With boots like that, your pretty big eyes and a japanese schoolgirl uniform you'll walk into any anime/manga con on the red carpet. Kawaii! - with a british schoolgirl uniform and those boots you'll knock grown men over just by looking naughtily at them. I'd certainly get wobbly.
Minus: - don't wear those boots while storytelling; nobody will listen as their focus will be elsewhere.
Don't forget to have that leather set in with impregnation (not sure of of the correct enghlish word there)

Anyway, even faux-leather boots need a bit of protective treatment. A dry, stiff but not quite solid surface that keep bumping into hard rough things will get cuts; some oils will both make them shinier and more resistent.
Hm ;D May I suggest wide masked fishnet stocking? With a couple of tears in them? ;D Would be a killer combo with those boots and that short skirt and the tee. And the lolita hair ;D
The friend who originally linked this on her journal had a very similar problem, but given your statement of needing socks, and that they had a plethora of them, and seeing as I'm an enabler, I figured why not share the link with you.
