Ellas defeat of the ogres is why I think the book is more feminist than the movie. Despite her curse, she is able to use their own powers of persuasion against them.

Ella could always take care of herself. She never really needed Char.

Yeah, sometimes I think that they put her in a lot of blue and white because they wanted to give off Cinderella vibes in other ways, but green was her signature color in the book and it would have been nice to see her wear it at least once in the movie.

I agree - making the elves only wear green was super cliche and has already been done so much. I mean, one of the things that makes the book so good is that it went against stereotypes, so for the movie to just go ahead and make everyone/everything a cliche was a bit disappointing.

I agree - I think the movie oversimplified a lot of characters from the book. My biggest complaint would be that they turned her horrible father into a decent guy for the film. I feel like the script writing was just very lazy.

I really like Spellbound and Ella’s Quest the best as well, but I also like Resistance and Tales of an Obedient Daughter. :)
