I was thinking the same thing 😂

Didn’t the 2017 remake give the Beast a magical book that allowed him to travel anywhere? It’s strange how he had access to something like that and yet never used it until Belle came along. Even more strange how Belle chose (of all places) to go to where her mom died from a plaque. God, that movie is such a mess. :(

Oh right, I guess they tried to make an updated version of the magic mirror. It was kind of a trainwreck dumpster fire. The more I think about it and the more posts I read on tumblr, the more I realize how bad it was D:

I will always be bitter about how badly Disney messed up that movie. It could have been a wonderful live action remake but they made SO MANY MISTAKES. Ugh 😣

Robby Benson voice Beast, like in the original, but for some reason his voice sounds really strange D:

I noticed that as well. I think it’s because there are lots of times in Belle’s Magical World where they seemed to forget to add the growling sound effects to the Beast’s voice.

his voice also sounded higher somehow? I thought it was a different person. I went on imdb to make sure. strange.

Yeah, it did sound a bit high pitched at times. I just thought he sounded too much like the human version of the Beast/Prince. Just another example of sloppy Disney editing lol

"It's about a girl who lives with her stepmother, a wicked woman, who makes her stay inside and work day and night. Of course she becomes terribly lonely. Then one day an invitation arrives to the royal ball....But the evil stepmother forbids it. Not until her work is finished. "

"Although she tries desperately to finish up working it is simply too much. ..... So the queen tells the fairy godmother her predicament about the ball, and how she can't possibly finish her work, and how she has nothing to wear and no way to get there. So you won't believe what the fairy godmother does. She casts a spell that solves all the girl's problems. But there's a catch it only lasts until midnight."

Love that she was talking about Cinderella. It’s always nice to hear/read about the books that Belle loves. :)

Yeah, her animation design in this movie really lacks the refinement of the first film. I didn’t mind it in TLM series or in other Disney sequels, but for some reason all the characters look strange in this movie.

Belle could publish guides for books, like Spark Notes.

Everything looks really...grainy too. Like, so rough. D:

I do realize that sequels don't look as pretty as canon movies and sometimes the characters are off model and there are mistakes in the animation in-betweening, but this is really not good. Cinderella II had the same format (small episodes in movie length film), but the animation was soooooo much better.

Exactly. Cinderella II doesn’t have much of a storyline (like you said, it has the same format as Belle’s Magical World, but that’s because they’re just 3 episodes from a scrapped Cinderella tv show) but at least the animation there was very bright and actually pretty. Meanwhile, Belle’s Magical World actually looks very dark. They really didn’t put much effort into this Disney sequel at all. :(
