A buddy of mine is interested in starting up her own website covering news. Most likely statehouse reporting. Anyone have any favorite websites they turn to for news/gossip/what have you? We're looking for models to see what can be improved upon, or what we can steal.

NPR has posted my story on its website. It's surreal seeing my name there. And Melissa Block intro'ed my story during the A segment of the first hour. That's... heaven. Here you go.

I have decided within the next six months I am going to have my tonsils removed. As well as my wisdom teeth. I've got insurance now. Big time, adult insurance. I've never had surgery... in fact, the whole idea of it terrifies me. But my tonsils are taking up my entire throat. I hate my hair when it's long. I've grown out (haha) of getting any enjoyment out of it. So. With that said. I will probably SERIOUSLY THIS TIME get my hair cut this week or weekend. St. Vincent is my inspiration.

Jonathan replied to an email I sent him last nite to tell me that Melissa Block also hurt her foot and might not come to Peoria. I think that would be fantastic if she couldn't make it.

I got an email earlier today from the Bradley Communications Department. They were asking me if I'd like to attend a breakfast with Melissa Block on the 25th of October. In other news, Illinois has become a Pepsi state. I have to get the hell out of here, ASAP. I don't drink soda that often, but when I do, I want COKE, damnit!
