We had to be a customer of "x" months long to upgrade to the "power" package of Verizon DSL. AND to get this upgrade we had to make a freaking phone call. Finally! Some decent upload/download speed. Of course this took about 20 minutes of wading through Verizon's automated phone system. What the heck ever happened to push a button menus on the

Voice activated messages... I hope my employer never switches to that... We get complaints over the automated touch-tone system as it is, and it's a newspaper.
