Let me be your teddy bear

For reasons I can't entirely explain I have been thinking about this topic rather a lot lately. I still sleep with my beloved teddy bear that I was given I believe for my second Christmukkah, which would have made me a year and three months old. (Incidentally, that's the same holiday I landed in the emergency ward of the Children's hospital ( Read more... )

There's no "sometimes" option :-(

I have a lamb named "Lamby" that I got for my first easter, which would make me... about 9 months old. I still have him and sleep with him sometimes. Back in middle school, I had a biting come back to "Aren't you a little old to sleep with a stuffed animal", which was, "Well, I'm a little young to sleep with anyone else." It was pretty awesome until that stopped working.

I sort of thought 'in case of emergency only' counted as sometimes. I apologize.

i always had a teddy bear, even at Kings, even at Dal, but i never slept with him. He sat on my bed and was fuzzy and would get kicked onto the floor in the night.

i don't know, i guess i just wasn't that into hugging things? i think it's cute that you do, and not in a condescending way, in an affectionate way.

well, now i have a kitty who always sleeps with me. she comes nosing around and nudges her way under the covers and into my arms. sometimes i attempt to get her to wedge herself between me and Joey, but mostly I sleep *with* her and *next* to him.

I have Big Fish. As in One Fish, Two Fish, etc. My sister got him for me for Christmas a couple years ago. He is blue, and big.

i have a teddy bear named tina, and a tiger just named tiger. i have taken the tiger everywhere - traveling all over europe and staying in hostels, even - and the only time i don't sleep with them is when my gf is here.

I realized last summer that I had packed my stuffed animals into the boxes I left at Smith, and was very sad about not having a teddy bear to bring abroad, so Mal suggested we go to Build a Bear. And now I have a wonderful fuzzy comforting bear to hold that reminds me of Boston for when I'm feeling homesick.
