Let me be your teddy bear

For reasons I can't entirely explain I have been thinking about this topic rather a lot lately. I still sleep with my beloved teddy bear that I was given I believe for my second Christmukkah, which would have made me a year and three months old. (Incidentally, that's the same holiday I landed in the emergency ward of the Children's hospital

I have a stuffed purple sparkly dragon named Penelope. Mel sleeps with a plump stuffed gold trans/genderqueer dragon named Granelda/Cedrick.

one more thing...I have a teddy bear that I slept with until Mel gave me this dragon. I was given teddy the day I was born. He's very beaten up and nearly in pieces, but I still sleep with him sometimes.

I have a blankie, and then a stuffed lobster, and Stitch. And a blue dog my husband gave me a long time ago.

I've got my bear Zelda (who is a flapper) who I got such a long time ago, my bears Strawberry and Raspberry, who I gave to my mother for a mother's day present when I was little and then stole back (Raspberry is a baby bear being hugged by Strawberry, who's the mama bear), and George, my gorilla, who I got when I bought some luggage and is the best thing ever to hug when you're upset. They've all got some holes. I generally take Strawberry and Raspberry with me when I travel, because Zelda's too old and George is too big.

hahaha... well, this is going to sound strange, but it's one of those stupid pokemon squirtle. i've had it from home to home and even took it to Florida with me three times, twice on greyhound, once on plane. So, needless to say, that thing's been with me for a very long time. I don't have it right now, my mother's holding it hostage, but that's not to say I don't miss it. I suppose it's just comforting to have something to hold onto. I also have two pillows on my left side, but those are random. Squirtle isn't random.
