I just saw a commercial for something Jay Leno is doing.  He showed a woman who looked to be in her early 20s a picture of the wreck of the Hindenburg and asked, "Can you identify this picture?"  She said, "It's the wreck of the Titanic."  I am really, truly embarrassed on behalf of our entire culture and educational system.

In a city of about 5 million like LA, there are bound to be a fair number of complete morons. (Say 2% of the population, or 100,000).

This is why Jaywalking is possible.

Not to mention people who think health care is Nazism and Obama was born in Kenya.

I can't seem to help myself. There's a vast and growing chasm of ignorance in this country, and it disturbs and angers me. Even though I know I can't fix it.
