Procrastination and Punishment

I do not like going to the dentist.  I have an irrational anxiety about it.  For several years I used not having insurance as an excuse to avoid going.  Now I have insurance, but I've managed to come up with other excuses over the past three years to not go except once two years ago when I had a broken tooth.  During this time, I've had off and on ( Read more... )

I'm a dental procrastinator, too, but when I had an abscess I had no way to avoid it. My dentist manages to put me at ease every time I'm there. Sometimes it just takes a while to realize it's the lesser of two evils. Good luck tomorrow; I'll think of you with no pain and hopefully it'll help you some.

At least the dentist's office is bound to be air conditioned.

It won't be so bad, trust me. Dreading it is FAR worse than anything you will experience there, and they will likely give you laughing gas, which makes it all better. You're going to feel so much better once it's over.

Thanks. :) I will probably have to call my boss to come get me and bring me back to the office for the drugs to wear off, then, but I think that's okay.
