So, my mom and the cats are now on their way to Oregon. The house is all wrapped up and everything.

I don't quite know how to react to a twenty-four year stage of my life being over.

In other news, I got less than an hour of sleep last night! Not for lack of trying!

I wish there was something I could do, sweetie. All I know is, as hard as you fight change, it doesn't make a difference. I hate it, but it just doesn't do any good.

I don't envy your mother - a car journey of just a few miles with a cat in the back is a journey from hell. I can't imagine such an epic journey with moggy accompaniment - I hope they all arrive safely and enjoy their new environment.

Yes, a stage of your life is now over. This is a good thing Ellen. All of us have to leave home spiritually or physically to achieve our own potential as adults. Look to the future and you'll do well.
