Marth himself felt a bit strange as well. It had been two whole years for him but only a night for her. He'd forgotten her voice and was beginning to forget the way she looked. It was a horrible and rather frightening realization, and even worse, realizing that he soon would forget how Altea smelled, looked, and felt. He shuttered at the thought as he pulled open the apartment doors. This was the closest place he had to home; the castles, the bazaar, the knights. None of this technology business, just the pure and simple life he knew.

Clutching a box of tea in his hands, the prince knocked on his sister's door. He had donned a blue tunic before he left his apartment. The outfit was one of his favorites and managed to survive the war reasonably well.

In a sense, it did. His confusion was perhaps coming from how long he had suppressed his emotions. The only ones which never could be bound is his love for his people and his desire to protect.

"A bit yes," Marth replied. "You always know how to make everything better."

Elice's emotions had been much the same as her brother's. Every now and then, the idea of love crossed her path. She did hold a close relationship with certain individuals, but rarely did she ever consider said ones as a potential candidate for marriage. Surely Marth was much the same way. She would expect it from the boy who was related to her. After all, it seemed they were both raised in the same way.

"Why, thank you, Marth. I have had years of experience. I better be able to comfort you. I would not forgive myself otherwise."

"I know I've said this many times, but I'm so happy you're here," Marth reiterated, smiling softly.

"I would say we are obviously in favor of something in order for me to be here," his sister commented gently. Then she poured for him a cup of tea, "...Forgive me. It may have been too long for you here. How do you like your tea now, Marth?"

"Just a bit of sugar and honey, please," Marth replied, smiling softly.. "The same as always." At least that's what he thought was normal. It was becoming painfully obvious he was beginning to forget Akaneia and the usual way of doing things. It had been over two years, after all.

It really was the same as always. Elice found a small part of herself relieved, although she did fear for how his memory would remain intact. With a spoon, she addressed his tea appropriately, and then her own, much in the same fashion. When she was finished, she offered to him his cup and a smile.

"Here you are."

Marth honestly didn't know how much he'd forgotten. He did know that he couldn't remember everything about Altea and Akaneia and was beginning to forget faces, but more than that? He wasn't quite sure.

"Thank you," Marth said with a smile, taking a sip. "Absolutely wonderful."

Well, hopefully with her presence, he would begin to remember bits and pieces. She was not allowed in her own position to forget any of this. She would not let that happen. She could not let that happen. It was important for her to remain a good model for him, a good inspiration, someone he could withdraw his confidence from.

Her expression remained bright. "Good. Now, then. Would you like to sit down? You may tell me anything you wish for me to know. I am interested in knowing what I have missed out on in these two filled years for you, Marth." Her free hand lifted and she gestured through the kitchen to him.

"Ah yes," Marth agreed, taking a seat.

What has happened in the past two years? So much had happened. He loved, he lost, then loved and lost again. He worked as a blacksmith then as an underwear sales manager. He'd been attacked by giant metal rats, turned into a hateful shoe monger, forced to go to a ball for something called Christmas, entered a singing contest, and probably turned into something else or other.

"Where to start....." he thought aloud.

She chuckled, catching onto his thoughts. A lot had happened apparently. Elice followed after him and sat down, her back straight as ever, her posture as proper as it had always been. Resting her hands upon her lap, her eyes never once left her brother's.

"Wherever you wish, Marth. You are not required to tell me anything you do not wish to. If it will make you more comfortable, I will also tell you of Altea. That is, if you find you cannot remember." She smiled reassuringly and nodded once, before taking a sip of her tea. It really was quite good. She would simply ask Marth if she could hold onto it for herself.

"So much has happened here: odd attacks by metallic rats, personality-changing serums, the like. And then," Marth paused for a moment. "Well, I had a relationship with someone that didn't quite work out the way I'd hoped." Two, actually, and both flubbed horribly. At least they were both happy now and Marth was back to his usual self.

"I would like to hear of Altea," Marth admitted. He had forgotten some of it, especially of the time before the Dark Wars. He remembered the gardens and that was about it. And that he loved his people dearly.

She had a feeling about this relationship business. Sheeda, perhaps? That lovely girl had taken quite an interest in her brother. Quite a bit. Elice had no idea of another. "Metallic rats... Serums... My, you lead such excitement. Altea's reconstruction was nothing of that sort."

She leaned forward a little and smiled brightly, "In the reconstruction, I thought it would be nice if there were more flowers in the garden, so I had the request put in, along with perhaps another turret, and some other archeological finds. I thought it would be nice to have something a little more to walk through. Our alliances are holding strong, and we are well on the way to recovery."

"That is most wonderful," Marth smiled. It was so good to hear of home, especially that the gardens would be rebuilt. "I would much rather be there than here. I miss blue skies."

"Oh, indeed!" Elice spoke up quickly with surprise. "The skies are red. Red like blood. As though is much of that shedding here." Her expression took on one of concern and vague worry. "...Does that occur here often, Marth?"

If it did, she would need to hasten her retreat to Altea, and take her brother with her. It would be inappropriate to have him here any longer. Of course, she did believe two years was far too long in the first place. Poor boy.

"The sky is always red," Marth replied. It always cast such an eerie look upon the land. "Bloodshed I don't think is very common here. Not lately, at least." He stared into his tea.
