The national primary that wasn't

Originally this began as a comment in orange's blog, but I got off on such a tangeant I felt it appropriate not to soapbox in someone else's back yard.

In respect to the Tuesday primary orgy, I actually presumed that it would be close on the left.  I had hope that someone *cough* Obama *cough* would take the lead, but my gut predicted a near 50/50 ( Read more... )

This frustrates me as well. I think I heard the same thing you did. Another part of that were the women who were incensed at Obama for engaging in this subtle sexism (and then listed those examples), but then claiming that any candidate would do it because they would be a man. She's the only woman running. What a completely pointless argument.

Similary pointless are the people who vote for X Republican candidate because they "like that he's a Christian." Hello, ALL THE CANDIDATES ARE CHRISTIANS! Even the Democratic ones.
