I'm back in Washington now and it's chilly.

I've done many things since coming home. I ran a 5k (with Rachel and Sarah and Dad) in 31 minutes (Naomi and Mom walked some - they came in at 41). My goal was to bring it under 40 min this year... next year I need to be more ambitious. Last year we ran with the kiddies and came in at 46. We went to Jessie ( Read more... )

Oooh, you are going to England again? And Disneyland? I'm seriously envious of your summer.

In terms of England bringing back too many memories, I understand that feeling--I always tend to associate places or songs with certain people and always struggle getting past those associations if a friendship or relationship has soured. However, I really hope that you'll be able to really enjoy being in England again and making this visit your own. Will you be going with friends, or is this another academic-related visit?

This is academic. I am presenting a paper at this conference.

It's on Wordsworth and the Lyric. It's a cool paper - and a cool conference. I've been to the Lake District before, but I get to tromp around some of the coolest Wordsworthian haunts. I can't wait to go to Rydal Mount and Helm's Crag. It'll be so Romantic. I'll try to remember to post pictures!

pffft. That book would be either really cool or somewhat cool.

But those are the papers. The topics of papers that I have to read/edit/extrapolate vital knowledge from. (One or two or all three).

hahaha I get it. 3 different papers.

I was reading in One Billion Words per minute mode, and at those speeds I lose some finer detail.

English 150 Section 73, 3:00p-5:00p MWF in 1121 of the JKB. I'm sure I'll scare some of those Freshman away on the first day... it's full now, but send some my way and I'll teach them a thing or two...

I think the bowler-hat guy is my favorite. Goob. What an eloquent way to portray villainy.
