Especially, everything from where Kris found out he was the winner to the part where it ended on him hugging his wife and struggling to hold back tears. Awwww. Even Kara's song didn't suck as badly as it could have (

Woo! I only watched the last half hour (because 2 hrs, seriously?), but I loved the Kris/Adam duet...I love duets where they act all cute and stuff. I loved how when Kris won he said Adam deserved to win. I think Adam will get a record deal anyway, so no worries there. The thing with this was...I didn't hate either contestant, so I was happy with the winner. They are both so humble and nice...and Kara's song didn't seem to suck as much, plus it got in my head.

I didn't think it was anti-gay...I just thought all the Gokey-lovers voted for Kris. But hey, that still means a lot of people liked him...

What is all this anti-gay business? I haven't watched American Idol or read any of the posts, but have seen several people on my flist commenting on this. My guess is that this Adam guy is gay, and so him not winning is "anti-gay"?

...Sheesh. Some people.

Yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. Never mind that he made top two; I guess America didn't realize he was gay until just last Tuesday. ::rolls eyes::

Well, both Kris and Adam are very talented, but they're very talented in different ways. Kris has a low-key thing going on, while Adam's more theatrical. He's also got a bigger range than Kris. Therefore, many fans claim that Adam is obviously the more talented one, and the only reason not to vote for him is because you're homophobic and/or are a tween girl who thinks Kris is cute (which he is). Plus, there's accusations that because Kris is from a small Arkansas town that mobilized vote parties for him while Adam's native San Diego didn't the vote was "totally unfair."

Never mind that AI has always been a popularity contest anyway, just like the music business itself.
