Okay, so the legend on the icon is not so appropriate to this comment. The animal life is.

I have no fear of bugs of any kind, although I'm not really fond of the way praying mantises hold on to you with their little pinchy claws. I live, however, in an entire household of "Ackkkk!!! Ackkkk!!! Getitofme-getitoffme-getitoffme!!!!" arachnophobes. Actually most of the denizens of my household won't actually get close enough to one to let it touch them. My 16 year old won't let a single form of animal life be killed, however, so I am often called into the room to remove the offending insect, and take it outside ( ... )

Heehee, I can't touch them but I have a variety of containers and papers to get small crawlies outside. And I always make sure they keep all their legs and don't get them stuck anywhere. :)

It's cool that your spiders were so comfortable they stuck around. I don't have any on my balcony anymore because I started feeding the blue tits around here last winter, and they saw my balcony as some kind of insect snack bar along with the food I fed them. Eat and get eaten, I guess...

I don't have a spider icon, but I have the candy icon. The candy icon is made of win! :)
