You can always tell the chapters where MBN's hit me with the sledgehammer of FIX THIS during the beta process - when I do, and I post them, I get little gold stars! [points up] XD
Nooo! I open the file and yeah, my first reaction is usually "uuugggggh" but then I'm all "We can fix it!" and "wow, she's really engaging with this" and "coooool."

Basically, it's all good.
I did keep the original final bit saved to a clipping file, just in case I can use pieces of it elsewhere. [sigh] (because you were absolutely right, but I still like it.)
I just wanted to say that I never liked Shelter and was sceptical at first, but this fic is a really great read and I'm psyched for the new chapter \:D/ I certainly appreciate something so slow-paced that you can just spend an afternoon with.
Thank you so much! Comments like this are somehow more validating than the (also incredibly lovely and welcome!) 'two of my favourite things' comments - knowing that my mental doodles are having a real effect on a reader is just about the greatest thing ever.
{mad hugs}
I'd hoped this would be a good, lazy read. I love the fast-paced high-drama stories as much as the next person, but life doesn't always go at that speed, you know? And hopefully there are good stories to tell in the softer moments.
