I would like to come, I never turn down an opportunity to go to a bookstore.
My recommendations: Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn. It's the first of the Thrawn Trilogy in the Star Wars universe. I'm currently on the second and need to get the third.
I believe I've read some other books by him--The Dragon and the Thief and its sequel. They were rather good, though the use of state names and current idioms in an obviously futuristic world kind of annoyed me. I noticed that he wrote a bunch of Star Wars books, and later you later mentioned that he was the official SW guy. I just want to make sure it's the kind of thing I'd be inclined to read again later, as I am going to be tempted to buy a whole bunch of SF/F novels that will keep me occupied for half a year before they go to the Swap and Shop.
I'm thinking about getting some Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxies because I think I could read those three more times and still not catch everything that's in there. But then, I might be able to get them pretty cheaply on Amazon. But then, I'll be getting them really cheaply if I use my gift certificate (which, by the way, is fairly sizable). I'm still deciding

Tomorrow I am working at the gym until 5 (Recreational Fun Meet Day). I think it might be best to wait until Sunday to make any plans, especially since we don't know what's happening with Noni.
Very true. I will be otherwise occupied Sunday evening, but I might have some time Sunday after church. I'll have to ask my parents. Or maybe next week will just work better. I can go almost any time from Thursday to the following Monday.
