Between my library book sale, my eventual use of my Barnes and Noble gift card, and a trip to the Movie Scene discount VHS rack, I picked up lots of cheap speculative fiction. I just returned from visiting relatives. We stopped by New York City to see Rockefeller Center and to generally wander around. It was pretty fun, as far as cities go.

We visited the NBC building while we were there. The entire entrance of the store was devoted to Heroes. If I were more into the show, I could've spent an obscene amount of money ( Read more... )

I finished watching through the first two seasons of Heroes. It is a good show. Hiro is still my hero. I have no idea why the second season is ten episodes shorter than the first, but they had a nice, complete story arc in there (even though I liked the story of the first one more ( Read more... )

In other other news, I just bought Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, and some random Arthur C. Clarke book for $1. Not $1 each, mind. $1 total.
