ArchTeryx from the hospital bed.

Things are finally starting to go better over here.  Hopefully things will continue to improve, I will get my final couple of tests and get discharged from here.

But that's not really why I am writing.  I'm writing for this:

Happy birthday, bestest best friend, dear gileskat !

May we celebrate many, many more together.

Looking like it was low-grade pouchitis, inflammation of the J-pouch due to bacteria. "Low grade" because they couldn't see it when they scoped me, but the symptoms certainly weren't any low grade.

We're still waiting on final confirmation via MRI and X-ray.

If this is low grade...... Good grief!

You said it. One mess after another. But the fact I started to get better after massive antibiotics doses tells the story rather thoroughly. The last two radiology tests will be the icing on the cake.

I know you hate non sequiturs out of me, but I'm hopeful IF this ever happens again, like my brother's case, we now know the drill. I'm hopeful that this will be over soon, and any future things won't be this awful.

My brother Nicky has a retro flow urination problem. Not sure the exact medical term, but when he urinates, part of it flows back into the kidneys and infects them with e. Coli from his bladder.
The first time was horrible and long since no one understood what was going on, but each time after they knew the signs, drills, and it was resolved in days, not weeks.

Sending healing vibes your way! It sounds like you're making wonderful progress!
