OK, so I've officially seen my first big difference. Sure, the place is nothing like where I just came from, but the first thing that kinda hit me. Grocery store, drink/beer aisle. Feeling completely displaced and uncomfortable in the space you occupy is a wonderful motivator to do something about it. Now, if only my mood would improve and I could stop being sick, I could, you know, get underway.

So, not much to update.

- Finally feeling better. Still a sore area in my throat, but at least I don't sound like an 80-year-old smoker anymore. Still downing cough drops like M&M's. Still sucks.

The house is dark and empty.
My lady is asleep...and entirely too far away.
Everything is quiet.
It's just me and this bottle of Southern Comfort.

Reality is settling in.

One last outing to see people today. A quick jaunt down to greendeva3's place, where she presented me with my own posters form this year's H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, since I was unable to attend (I understand you might have been in on that too, brother_d73!). A long afternoon of cartoons followed by yummy dinner with daemonwise, veiravx, and dark_knight_l. Got everything packed, and got the crew together today to get it all into storage. Feels weird to be without 99% of what i own, but I know it's in good hands, and it gives me incentive to get my act together.
