finished up with disney plus

finished the obi-wan series. overall, not too bad. the problem is it was a sequel to one thing & a prequel to another. so they had call backs & foreshadowing, plus explanations for future things.
my brother read the theory that obi-wan was in love with padmé, that's why he said he wished he was leia father. but i think some part of him wanted a family.
i was reminded that someone one LJ was rewriting the SW saga as if obi-wan & padmé had gotten married, raised luke & leia together and fought against the evil empire. i don't know if they incorporated anything from the books, like wedge & rogue squadron. they had like 20+ chapters and had bee writing it for 3+ years. i never read anything, i just came across their journal while clicking on names of people who had commented with something interesting on posts i was reading. this was like 2010-12, so i don't know what went on with that.

also finished the ILM documentary series. very interesting. people would tell george lucas; "that can't be done." he'd say; "well, just try it." and stuff got done. they have some kind of stage thing where they surround the area with blue screens & project images (space, forest, city), people walk around it with appropriate props and/or furniture. the image changes based on the position of the camera to make it look like the person is walking along in a much bigger area. kind of like the holodeck in star trek.
everything old is new again with the new SW series using model ships & moving the camera past them to make it look like they're flying. but instead of black velvet with sequins for outer space in the background, it's CGI. ship models are scanned into a computer and then can be blown up or whatever. even stop motion is kind of coming back with a thing that is the bones of the animal/monster, that when moved sends the movements to a computer to movie a digital animal/monster.
