wow that dress is so beautiful!!!
you are so talented.
While you have 50 goals, my big one goal is to make a ren gown for me :D Dark erd in color.
Where do you find Linen? Is it labled linen or something else?

Does The Chad participate in the SCA and Renfaire events with you? I know I would and could never get J (his actual first name -- yeah his parents were REAL creative when in need of a J name)

of course there are a plethora of other reasons we're together :D
though mybe I could find him a nice Charles Brandon outfit... mmm.......

thank you so much. yes it shoudl be labeled linen. i buy it in the garment district here so its pretty cheap at joanns its like a million bucks. for faire you might want to try a cotton. it will be totally fine and way cheaper. for my faire outfits i used a heavy broadcloth and they came out just fine.

no the chad does not do SCA. he does have garb that i made him in case he wants to come to anything ever. he has been to one event and he has been to ren faire but he doesnt dress up. i think he likes faire cause he doesnt have to wear a copstume and at most sca events is mandatory.

cotton. Definately cotton.
The thought of Broadcloth in May in Tennessee is horrible.
May, though, it hit or miss. It's alsot he time of our big Music Fest... you're either freezing or you're about to sunstroke. Beer sometimes help either way :D
The Tn Renfaire is in Nashville TN about 4 hours down the raod. Weather isn't much different

oh no! not wool broadcloth! you WOULD die. hahaha. they also make a fabric called cotton broadcloth. its easier for maing skirts and stuff cause it litterally is like 80 inches wide or some crazyness anyhow its usually in the quilting section and much cheaper than linen

That which I mentioned on the other host of this very post, just in case other LJ'ers wanted to know: We didn't have the sanctuary as a possible location. [Probably because two church worship services were being held later that day?] We were given either "in the lunch hall or outside." I opted for shade, chairs, and tables rather than inflict the sun and heat on everyone. It only marginally worked.

Oh my god!!! Why didn't you tell me that Jon Thomme got his Dolphin while I was writing my song? I still think that it should be a walrus, or a manatee. Those are both easier to remember.
