The past few days have been kicking my ass hard. In addition to the computer problems (which should be resolved in the next few days), there are weather problems. Cold is by far the most noticable of bads for the FMS, because muscles tighten up and pain levels elevate. Hot and humid, though, can come in a close second; especially in the city. ::hugs and pettings and love::

if you can swing it financially, i highly, HIGHLY recommend both a good air filter that filters out VOCs (i have an austin air) and a portable a/c unit that can be rolled around and put in the window you want it in.

down in the sf bay area the air filter was a life saver. we had a window a/c there, and when it got hot it was what kept me from getting even sicker. a/c dries out the air a fair bit, too.

I have A/C in the apartment that I've been running to keep inside humidity levels down, because otherwise I constantly feel like I'm choking and can't breathe. It doesn't keep the toxins from outside from filtering in, though (and actually helps them get in, since it draws air from outside).

A good airfilter is at the top of my list of purchases, but I have to wait until after the laptop repairs are paid for and I have my freelance check, since good ones aren't cheap. With a little luck, I'll have one by the time the killer weather we're supposed to have next week rolls around (predicting high 90s and a dew point in the mid 70s, next thursday!), but until then, I have to get by with what I've got.
