Ah joy!

We had a party for Nate over the weekend and Jim came by with a weird-ass contraption which he claims can be used to photograph my little phytoliths.  He used it to take some really nice photos of Oasis artifacts and thinks it can be adapted to microremains.  It's got a microscope dealie along with a digital camera and an internal light

My 10 month old is grabbing papers off the desk as I type and making a nice mess on the floor... sigh... but at least he's not grabbing at the 'puter.
