Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Little Bee!!!!!!!!!!!!! *glomps him* Soooooo adorable!

*hugs you a awful lot* I can not think of anything I did that could have possibly inspired this, but you are very sweet for thinking so!

Wrapped in a thin blanket, he scurried outside the house, waiting by the doorsteps, intent on seeing his father drive back from the hospital in the middle of a snow storm. His father had found him a few hours before dawn, three days before Christmas Eve.

Oh! *huggles little!Bruce*

“I ought to say, Master Bruce, that if you were more sensible about your health you wouldn’t find yourself in such a state,” Alfred said briskly as he laid a tray with tea. “If you wanted to skip the Christmas party so badly you could have booked flight tickets and get out of town. No need for such extreme measures.”

Hee! *hearts Alfred*

“I… I think I remember that.”

*wibbles*

Bruce regained his composure, taking an unsure breath. He stared down at the bedcovers, his brow furrowed. “It’s not my fault everyone gets crazier in the ( ... )

Yay! I'm so glad you liked this, Star! I remember reading one of your stories and thinking I was totally stealing that for one of the ones i had in progress... I just can't remember what it was and which story, lol, but I mean it, your boys are so sweet and caring that I find myself inspired by them very often, so credit goes to you!

I thought I was all done with Little Bee's stories, but, uh, lol, Jen gave me a bunny for tiny Clark and an imaginary friend, and that one is... going to have to be written. Jen has the best bunnies!

The boys don't stand a chance with Alfred conspiring against them. They should really just say 'Okay, where do we sign?' and marry already, Alfred just can't be stopped.

I'm so glad you liked little Bee's adventure! Thank you for your wonderful fb, Star!

There is not enough squee in the world to apply to Little Bee. There just isn't! I don't know how you do it, it all seems entirely plausible (I cannot write crazy kid-things and you do it so well!) and loopy and fun, with that tinge of melancholy under it (oh, "Mother of Pearl" for his ship's name is so sad in retrospect. So sad!) I want to see art of the Hippo Queen very badly. I want to ser art of all of it very, very badly, lol.

Bruce is adorable when he's sick, by the way. The only way he could get more adorable would be if you actually knocked him out. :)

"Captain Bee, space pirate, lord of the seas and scientist of tomorrow." is just the greatest description ever. So wonderful. *pets Little Bee*

And how awesome is it that Clark brings Alfred a gift? It is made of awesome. As is this story.

LOL, I wish I had a handy nephew I could talk into drawing me the Hippo Queen... I am afraid of hippos, just a bit! They are mean beasties. I'm so glad you like Little Bee's silly stories! I enjoy writing him very much, I'm sure there's at least one other story for Clark and Bruce and their young selves in this, what, now that we have Ruppy in the brain and all. Though probably an off series story, hee! Ruppy! Imaginary friends rock!

Bruce's level of adorability go up when he's incapacitated. I ned to write him awake one of these days :P He just refuses! he says if I'm going to break him while he's awake, he'll rather not be.

I'm very glad you enjoyed, kitten! Thank you for your help with it! You're gonna have to help me with Rupert and Clark, you realize... that bunny is all your fault!

he says if I'm going to break him while he's awake, he'll rather not be.

*snickers* "No. I'm going back to sleep. Wake me up with you want to write me some fluff." Poor Bruce, we abuse him so!

(also, lol at you thinking the ficlet I unlocked was angry Bruce! That must have been...very confusing. No, Dan just finally betaed the other one today! And yes, I know exactly what I'm asking for with the one you saw and will grit my teeth through the high-pitched noises...*grin*)

You're gonna have to help me with Rupert and Clark, you realize... that bunny is all your fault!

Never let it be said I abandon friends to their bunnies! I'll happily toss sand around in the box with you on that one. *hug* I hope you feel healthier soon!

This was incredibly cute. :-) It reminds me of some of my own childish writings, and you got the tone of young Bruce's telling of the story so perfect.

Thank you for sharing!

Aww, thank you! I didn't really know how to pace Little Bee's story, so I went by what I remember of my own adventures in outer space :P I'm glad you enjoyed this! thank you for reading :)

Oh, sis, this is absolutely exquisite! I am always in so much awe of your writing; you do an amazing job with these rich, introspective slice-of-life pieces. And to throw Little Bee and the h/c with sick, sleepy Bruce into the middle of it just makes me want to die of joy! *swoons ( ... )

Yay! I am so glad you liked this story, sis! I had lots of fun with little Bee, though I got the jitters when it came to actually writing his adventures, lol. But he's a chatty little muse!

Alfred and Bruce always make me smile. Bruce just can't pull any crazy with Alfred, he won't take it, and Alfred knows what's best for Bruce, so Bruce better GET USED TO IT :P

Clark was mostly worried that Bruce couldn't complain. That's... an amazing feat!

I'm glad you liked the crazy setting of Bee's adventures! I did have adventures in outer space as a kid, so I tried to use that a bit.

And the yearning for a simpler time was so palpable (and relatable)Yay! I really wanted it to be relatable, it's one of those things I think about wistfully sometimes.. being a kid sucks in many ways, but.. everything is much simpler (and my life is not even complicated!) so I guess they would look at those times with a lot more tenderness ( ... )
