I am finally done with my music prompts stories! I have this and another one that I'll post later, but I'm done! woo! I think this is about the first time I finish a prompt challenge o_O In what, 5 years? eeep

Ohh, this is so amazingly well-done! I love how you prepare the reader step by step to build up Clark's feeling towards Bruce by using the actual comic's episodes.

And I'm quite sure after I finished reading B&R 10 that Oberon must be Bruce! I'm so excited about his return.

I am hoping Oberon is Bruce, but... he might not be? eee, I am so excited about Batman and Robin #12 next month! Bruce will start coming back so soooonnnn I can't wait!

"Your plan--" Superman paused, his voice wavering for a second. He breathed deep, and as he exhaled a lot of the tension seemed to leave his body.
It was so obvious how much Clark missed Bruce.

Dick stood up and stretched a hand towards Superman, who took it in a steady shake. "I promise. You take care too, Clark, okay? We're gonna miss you around here."
I liked this part and Dick-Clark talk. These last lines showed Dick’s feelings so well.

Then, the ring took over Superman, and all the colors faded into gray, his last cry of pain lost in the stillness of death.
That was so sad.

The tightness around his eyes, the lines around his mouth, the set of his jaw. Even as his eyes were kind and his tone was friendly, Damian could see it. A certain restraint, the concealment of pain.
Damian watching Dick and Clark and hearing their conversation - it was amazing how well he could read Clark’s facial expression.

Yay! I'm very glad you liked this! I had sooo much fun playing with all the random canon, finding bits where Clark could mourn Bruce. Bruce will be back soooon! :D

I'm happy you liked Damian's section, too! He's a ver fun character for me to write because I think he has the right detective instincts but all the wrong cultural background, so he struggles to interpret the cues he reads.

Clark describing Bruce and Bruce remembering Clark were one of my favorite parts to write! I wondered if Clark or Superman should confront Oberon, but then I thought Bruce had to remember *Clark*, not Superman, and that would be Bruce's final step back! so.. I loved the way the pieces fit there :D
