-I just found two awesome comms! bruce_love and we_love_damian. I love them. You should come play!!! (pervyficgirl, I pimped your Damian stories in w_l_d, I hope you don't mind!)
Wow, you say you're not doing much but you sound crazy busy! I hope you do find some more contract work, so you can hone those super boss-lady skills! :P
Well. like, the Photoshop class I took it mostly in June, so this is more like.. a sum up of my summer! so... not that much? I will continue to try to not be a wimp that can't make phone calls! urggg I despise themmmm :/
Urghhhh, phones. They are my personal hell, having to talk with strangers and identify myself and then try to get their memory going when they still don't remember who I am or why I'm calling... it's bad enough doing it face to face, trying to get people to follow my orders or give me concrete answers, but.. on the phone??? urggggg...
And the client is pretty fond of calling me to tell me her every worry and itch on the phone once or twice a day. Like little kids, I'm telling you, gahh.
I'm having an acceptable good time otherwise, though! I like having time to do my own things and move my work appointments as needed. It's convenient! Now, hopefully I'll be able to keep at this pace for a couple more months so I can make a couple of trips later this year :P
*hugs* I'm glad things are going okay! Yay! But boo for people trying to say you damaged their building! Not cool!
Yay for sewing! Are you going to carry on with it, do you think? :)
Good Luck with the exam!
I so agree with you about phone calls! Why are they so evil? I know I have problems with communicating with people in the first place, but phone calls are just so... EVIL! Argh. I deal so much better with talking to people face to face... Or even better, on the internet! *big hugs*
People can be pretty opportunistic, it seems! I'm glad I have proof she's lying, otherwise I would probable be overcome by guilt, lol.
And yeah! I'm going to keep my sewing classes, just on regular schedule now instead of summer class intensity. Just one day a week! I can handle that! I hope! lol. I love it :)
The exam went really well! silly exam, pffft. I ate it for breakfast!
I hate phonecalls with a passion!! urgggg!!! I also prefer talking with people face to face, even if I have to drive there and take more time instead of calling. Calling just.. pretty much never leads to me solving anything! I hate it X/ but.. maybe I'll get more used to it and learn how to deal with my hate in this job...
Woohoo awesomeness! It sounds like you are learning a lot of practical stuff and getting a lot of fantastic experience, and being your own free agent is a wonderful thing. :D
Good luck with the marketing entrance exam, too! When did you decide to try for that? It sounds like it would be useful for your future plans, although I don't know anything about marketing and have no idea how much of a drag it may or may not be ... I hope it's interesting!
And yes, phone calls are evil! I don't mind phone calls with really close friends, but phone calls with people I'm not that comfortable with are terrible ... the lack of non-verbal cues drives me crazy gahhh.
Anyway, glad to hear you're doing well! And stay safe (stupid organized crime!) *hugs*
Being free is so awesome! the downside -of course the is one, lol- is that.. left to my own devices I can procrastinate a LOT on work :/ lol, but I'm trying to keep up! I.. didn't do very well this week, but I shall try harder! :P the practical experience is very good! I was really lacking on that, and on-site decisions as important (and sometimes more important) than the design back at the board, simply because so many details have to be worked out, and I have no experience handling that kind of pressure! thankfully mexican construction operates in a rather mellow way, lol. At least at this scale...
The exam was pretty easy, or so I thought! I wasn't sure I was going for the marketing degree, but my dad was pressuring me a bit, and I do think I can find it useful. I will try it one trimester and see how it is!
Telephoness are evillll!! gaahhh!! I hate talking with strangers X( *grumbles*
Animated RDJr for the winnn! The book is a bit scary -I'm finding out all of Philip K. Dick books are kind of scary!- and RDJr's character is more annoying, but since I already liked his character and couldn't stop thinking about his as RDJr, it didn't matter :P
I shall take pictures of the sewing! I haven't, silly me.. but I will once my pajama bottoms are clean again!
The construction site overlooking is.. strange. I get very nervous because there are a lot of technical things I don't know, but I'm getting a lot less self-conscious and when I don't know something I ask for a minute and call Yamil or someone who can help me out. I am getting a lot better at just making judgment calls, though!
Art Deco building!! :D :D Batman was perched on it.. looking out for you :3

(and yes, phones are the Devil. So glad we barely have any on our side of the office.)

Can we see pictures of the pajama pants and skirt you made? I am fascinated by your sewing. You make it look so easy...
I'm glad work is going well! It all sounds very complicated, but you seem more confident now. Good luck on the new degree as well!
All the organized crime, just, argh. It makes me wish there were something I could do, but I'm sure you feel that way too. *hugs*
I walked through a gigantic Art Deco building today and thought of you! :D
