GHMC, the organization that runs it, is. The language isn't 100% clear on whether the AIDS Walk is considered a separate entity, so I'll call our team's resident expert tomorrow and ask her.
I no has moneys. But good on you; I am doing what I can by giving a big ol box of donations to this lovely organization because I had lots and lots of clothes and shoes that don't fit me anymore and never will again, and bags I don't use for random reasons, but are in excellent shape, and cleaned everything out when I moved. Hauling it all over there tomorrow.
*hugs* I understand how that one goes. (and you're a student again*, so yeeeeah...)
That's a great idea. I've got boxes of old clothes I was going to try and sell one of these days, but maybe I'll see if NY has something similar instead... :)
* CONGRATS, BTW!! :D I did a little catching up on LJ and saw that just today. Go you! :D
Right, I've got student loans now, so not $$ charity for me. Thanks!
There's always Salvation Army - I'm going to try and sell a few of my nicest pieces to a vintage/good secondhand store, but thrift stores take lots more.
